It also excluded nurses at the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facilities.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cPEF worked hard to see this bill passed and to ensure our nurses at OCFS are now included,\u201d Spence said. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of our members, who participated in letter-writing campaigns, lobbying and other advocacy activities.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Gov. Kathy Hochul signed the original bill into law in December 2022, but her approval was conditioned on amendments.
