Elaine runs in memory of her running buddy and co-worker Dave Clapp, who lost his battle with leukemia, as well as current PEF member Carrie Williams (DOCCS-Central Office), who is battling a rare blood disorder.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Goofy Challenge consists of a half marathon (13.1 miles) on January 11, 2025, followed by a marathon (26.2 miles) the very next day!\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Morris has challenged herself to raise $5,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and hopes other union siblings will join her team and help her reach her goal. The deadline for donations is within one week of the race.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cI would love to report that I received 100% participation from PEF members in Region 8,\u201d she said. \u201cCan you imagine if every PEF member donated $1?
