The application can be found on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/about\/scholarships\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">PEF website<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and the deadline for applying is May 1.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Scholarships for dependents of members<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Members of PEF Division 231 working at the Capital District Psychiatric Center who have a dependent seeking a college degree are eligible to apply for a PEF Division 231 scholarship.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The division will provide $2,500 to scholarship winners for the current school year and the money will be distributed once winners are selected.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Members of Division 231 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/click.actionnetwork.org\/ss\/c\/u001.qUXRBnqZ7T8nxbpAcIVwoUsWLkUMWlo_0JmZttSlm3-gABf-HsnbEYPITLzY9g-rKUJOcJNCoStP86PEs37BwtDpYaOuKL_JwvSbLzvYRPQCth-N3DWajRdXj6AYN2b83aEEwA_sbpGUuNFA8lBkoyNrb2JFSUYa_V5eBY0UL-vCHL8PxsCCZ3baN7zk4lyzy26RZEzK25BIwVnhOS1eguhLi80GvHxMCLHXUQj4mArCSY56DS0NMCAtQT-VzEpvnoAgJYYuFhDpoSlw4-HImrPZ8s1NFbzn8Z_w0XL-2cJhwfmVHnVFK5Tg5DAPvR8j11LeDUlhdxpfj4DT06DKjP2gSBzeHAMDNPpMCt6bTjtIyRCePZdeBGm5_FRGFEnVHl0IiHaxXa7R0oId36iCfSXGaqApFljbuu-y3GDm2tI\/4e4\/xfmQY0BcRpOC5I1LN1Rj2g\/h0\/h001.vPzc88hhOcHrWP1LoXfhNpy1rSukuy-y727cUHSI3Oc\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">must fill out the application<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> before the March 7 deadline and email their completed application to Division 231 Council Leader Donna Sherrycervantes at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:Donna.Sherrycervantes@pef.org\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Donna.Sherrycervantes@pef.org<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">PEF Division 343 (Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsackie, N.Y.) is holding its second annual college scholarship contest. The contest will award one $1,000 scholarship. An essay and proof of enrollment must also be submitted with the application. The subject line of the email should read <\/span><b><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">PEF Division 343 Scholarship Fall 2025<\/span><\/i><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The deadline for the Division 343 Scholarship is July 7. A winner will be chosen and announced on July 21.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Joseph Scacalossi Scholarship is a statewide PEF scholarship program offered to children, stepchildren or wards of an active, retired or deceased PEF member. It is offered to high school seniors or to college freshman.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Each year, 10 students are awarded $1,000 annually for four years to defray the cost of their education.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The application can be found on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/about\/scholarships\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">PEF website<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and the deadline for applying is March 15.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Editor\u2019s Note: Division councils with scholarship information to publicize are encouraged to email <\/span><\/i><a href=\"mailto:Communicator@pef.og\"><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Communicator@pef.og<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> with details.
