{"id":6971,"date":"2025-04-14T10:11:12","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T14:11:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communicator.pef.org\/?p=6971"},"modified":"2025-06-04T15:32:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:32:49","slug":"pef-introduces-mobile-app-to-share-union-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communicator.pef.org\/issue\/volume-43-no-4\/pef-introduces-mobile-app-to-share-union-news\/","title":{"rendered":"PEF mobile app nears 1,000 users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6972 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/communicator.pef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/iPhone-Mock-Up-08.jpg\" alt=\"App Mock up \" width=\"450\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/communicator.pef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/iPhone-Mock-Up-08.jpg 450w, https:\/\/communicator.pef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/iPhone-Mock-Up-08-300x213.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>June 5, 2025 &#8212;<\/em> If you have an appetite for information \u2013 PEF now has an app for you to get it!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Launched in April, the app already has almost 1,000 members using it to receive the latest information from their union.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/app\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">PEF App<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, available on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.nyspef&amp;pli=1\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Android<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/nys-pef\/id6480925803\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">iPhone<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, is the place to learn everything you need to know about your union and what it\u2019s doing for you.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cOur goal is to use the app to keep members and retirees connected to the union by providing access to timely and critical resources,\u201d said President Wayne Spence. \u201cIt will be a convenient place to find actionable items like letter-writing campaigns supporting PEF budget and legislative priorities, surveys about the contract or workplace conditions, as well as forms such as Protest of Assignment and other grievances.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe PEF App will continue to improve, but now you have one central place on your smartphone for all things PEF-related that is designed exclusively for PEF Members and Retirees,\u201d he said. \u201cUsing the app, PEF can deliver targeted information based on your Region, Division, or Agency, ensuring you stay informed and engaged.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You can access the app using the same credentials you use on the PEF or Membership Benefits Program websites. If you don\u2019t know your Member Identification Number (MIN),<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> call (800) 342-4306 or (518) 785-1900 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
