It\u2019s crucial that you contact your elected representatives, so they know what issues are most important to PEF members and retirees. In particular, I urge you to tell your State Senator and Assemblymember to reject a reduction in the Income Related Monthly Adjust Amount used by recipients of Medicare Part B.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The union makes it very easy to send emails on those topics and all of PEF&#8217;s budget priorities. Just head to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/legislative-action-center\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Legislative Action Center<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> on the PEF website to get started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">PEF Retirees submitted <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/pef_files\/docs\/political_action\/2026_budget\/2026-27-PEF-Retiree-Workforce-Testimony.pdf\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">written testimony<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> last month to a joint committee focused on Labor and Workforce Issues in the State budget. I encourage all retirees to read it and please consider advocating for yourselves and your union siblings.
