June 5, 2023 — Division 234 (OTDA/OCFS) will award eight (8) $500 college scholarships to students who are undergraduate, graduate, or vocational degree candidates during the fall 2023 semester.
To ensure applicants have an equal opportunity to benefit from the awards program, qualified applicants will participate in a random drawing to receive a scholarship and a dependent can only win this award once. Past awardees are not eligible.
Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. All documents submitted are kept confidential. Scholarship award winners will be selected during a random drawing at the Scholarship Committee meeting in August. Winners will be notified by phone and mail.
The following requirements must be met:

- Applicants must be the child/ren, stepchild/ren, or legal dependents of an active PEF Division 234 (OTDA/OCFS) member as of July 28, 2023.
- Applicants must be enrolled full/part-time at a college, trade, or graduate school for the Fall 2023 semester.
- Applicants must submit Fall 2023 enrollment verification consisting of one of the following:
a) Fall 2023 class schedule, b) college acceptance letter, c) tuition statement, or d) other form of verification from the applicant’s educational institution indicating enrollment for the Fall 2023 semester.
Scholarship applications submitted but lacking the required documentation to verify enrollment will be disqualified.

- Complete all sections of the 2023 APPLICATION FOR PEF DIVISION 234 SCHOLARSHIPS.
- Return the application with all required documentation, BY MAIL, to the Scholarship Committee.

Applications postmarked after this date will not be considered.
Copies of the 2023 APPLICATION FOR PEF DIVISION 234 SCHOLARSHIPS can be obtained from any Division 234 Steward, Council Leader, Executive Board member, the PEF-OTDA Electronic Bulletin Board, or PEF website.
SELECTION:
Applications will be reviewed by the Division 234 Scholarship Committee. All documents submitted are kept confidential.
