Article 15 of the PS&T contract provides money for training courses, grants, reimbursement for workshops and licensure exam fees.

Working with Clients Who Have Sensory Processing Challenges
March 21:

This virtual course, from 9 a.m. to noon March 21, will review the concept of “Sensory Processing and related challenges that clients may face when navigating everyday life activities. The training will review common sensory processing challenges for clients, particularly clients who have a developmental disability. 

The difference between a sensory meltdown versus a temper tantrum will be reviewed and participants will explore the importance of stimming for managing sensory input, processing, and output. Methods for creating a more sensory-friendly environment for clients and helping them build skills to manage sensory stressors and challenges will also be discussed.
