May 2, 2025 — One Executive Board member was seated, while four seats remain contested and will proceed to balloting following the April 2025 Special Election.
Elected to Seat 165, Joseph Moynihan will represent members at the Justice Center, Housing & Community Renewal, Veterans’ Affairs, and the Office of Cannabis Management.
The race for Region 1 Coordinator, following the retirement of Michele Iorfida, is between Vincent Cicatello and Nazia Rahman. Vying for Seat 65 at Education Main Office are Candyce Young and Angelina Rodriguez; for Seat 90 at Higher Ed are Zachary Mason and Kristina Tereburke; and for Seat 445 at the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) are Richard Fletcher and Jill Poeller.
Election ballots will be mailed on May 19, 2025, by American Arbitration Association (AAA) and must be returned to the address listed on the return envelope no later than 5 p.m. June 10, 2025. Return in this case means, in hand, not date mailed or postmarked.
Ballots will be counted on June 11, 2025, by AAA in New York City starting at 10 a.m. If you would like to observe the count, email SpecialElections@pef.org for information.
