2026 PEF Special ElectionAugust 7, 2026 — Nine Executive Board seats were filled following the April 2026 special election. 

Gregory Deiulio was elected to fill Seat 1 (representing certain members at the Department of Agriculture and Markets; Grace Felix was elected to Seat 80 (representing certain members at SUNY); Kaleb Winters will fill Seat 115(representing certain members at the Department of Environmental Conservation); Samuel Maxsween will fill Seat 127 (representing certain members at Homeland Security; and Eric Stephens was elected to Seat 169 (representing certain members in the Executive offices). 

Also, Charles Browning will fill Seat 207 (representing certain members at the State Insurance Fund); Shaquanna Perry was elected to Seat 385 (representing certain members at the Office of Mental Health); Heidi Bazicki will fill Seat 420 (representing certain members at the Department of Motor Vehicles); and Donald Oshea was elected to Seat 440 (representing certain members at the Office of Children and Family Services). 

Seat 560 (representing certain members at Roswell Park) will head to balloting, and voters will decide between Rebecca Deitzer and Mary Miller-Kotrys 

Ballots will be mailed August 17, 2026, and must be returned to the address listed on the return envelope no later than 5 p.m. on September 8. Returned in this case means in hand, not the date mailed or postmarked. Ballots will be counted on September 9 by AAA in New York City starting at 10 a.m. If you would like to observe the count, email SpecialElections@pef.org. 

Remaining vacant seats will be up for election in the October 2026 special election: 

  • Seat 15, Civil Service  
  • Seat 103, SUNY  
  • Seat 161, Executive
