October 30, 2026 — Ahead of Convention, Region 1 set a goal of raising $7,500 for the Ronald McDonald House of Western New York (RMH) charity and Convention attendees blew right past that and raised nearly $9,000 for the organization.

“The Region 1 Convention Committee and the Roswell Park members who suggested the RMC are thankful that delegates were so generous in donating,” said Cicatello. “We raised $9,000 for a tremendous cause. The representative for RMH was in disbelief, she wasn’t expecting that much.”

Recognizing the need to support the whole family when a child is seriously ill or injured, the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia in 1974.

“What an impact this is going to make,” Booz told delegates. “It costs $153 per room per night. That adds up to millions every year. You are helping make a huge impact on our families; thank you very much.”

Anyone may donate to the Ronald McDonald House charities online. There is an option to select a specific program or chapter.
